Faye and Bob Wells met at Loughborough University where they read Human Biology and Economics. After university they followed careers in Finance and Shipbroking in the City. In 2000 their son George was born and they moved to Cheltenham and founded and ran a recruitment business for ten years before completing their PGCEs in 2010. Bob has a background in international yacht racing, a love for outdoor pursuits and is an avid fly-fisherman. Faye plays league netball and is an enthusiastic horse rider.
Bob is Deputy Head (Operations) at Cheltenham Prep, and teaches Maths, ICT and Games, as well as being an Officer in the College’s Navy section of the CCF. Faye teaches Biology here at the school and is also Head of Science.
Their children, George and his younger sister Anabelle, have been pupils at Cheltenham Prep since 2006. George is currently in Lower Sixth Form at College and is a member of Southwood, whilst Anabelle is in Forth Form and Boards at Chandos House.
Bob and Faye run the House like 'reasonable parents' and ensure that all of their pupils feel like they are coming home at the end of each day rather than simply moving to another part of school. Having been both parents and teachers, they benefit from a unique insight and their experience can be of great assistance to parents as they reach new milestones in their childrens’ education and development. They take care of making sure homework is completed, showers are taken, driving children to birthday parties at the weekend and supporting all of their boarders in their matches, concerts and plays whenever possible.
Bob and Faye are supported by Stacy Ramsay; their Assistant House Parent, a team of three lively and caring matrons, seven resident tutors and no less than five gap students all of whom look after all of the boarders brilliantly.
