She enjoys reading – her favourite book is Pride and Prejudice - Pilates, craft and being part of her Church. Her favourite things about College are the friendly and supportive staff and being part of the Queen's team. She loves having cups of tea and chats with the girls as well as the mega baking sessions! She is so impressed by their individuality – watching them develop their talents makes her so proud. Julia is also now one of the 5F tutors.

Mrs Hanneke Hale, Matron

Hanneke is originally from Cape Town, South Africa and graduated at the University of Stellenbosch with a BA Degree in Afrikaans, History and Psychology before completing a Post Graduate  Diploma in Teaching.  She moved to the UK in 1999, taught for a while and then started a family (Jess – 4th form and Eliana – Year 8). Her interests are mainly sport: she loves to play netball, hockey, tennis and go for a run. She also enjoys travelling, being involved with some charity work and being part of my church. She is so excited to be joining Queen's as a part-time matron; everyone is so lovely and welcoming and it feels like a real home.  It is a privilege to be matron of the Queen's girls and she is looking forward to getting to know them all better.
