Hugh Reeves (OC H, 1882 - 1884)
Hugh Reeves, is one of the greatest benefactors College has ever had, and it is therefore appropriate to name this society after him. A solicitor by profession, he was a member of College Council from 1929 until his death in 1952.
The Hugh Reeves Legacy Society was set up in 2002 to enable us to thank those of you who have made provision in your will for the benefit of College.
Hugh Reeves Society Legators' Luncheon
Every year we invite members of The Hugh Reeves Society back to College for a special day to thank them for remembering College in their will.

A letter from General Sir Michael Rose KCB, CBE, DSO, QGM, DL
Dear Old Cheltonian,
I am delighted to be able to write in support of the College Legacy programme.
Gifts left by Old Cheltonians and other members of the College Community have always made a very important contribution to the well being of Cheltenham College and my own time spent there was, without doubt, greatly enhanced by many generous benefactors who had gone before.
Legacies provide a simple and tax efficient way of helping provide for future generations, since they allow College to plan ahead in the full knowledge that capital sums will not only be available to fund worthwile projects, but also to act as an insurance against an uncertain future.
I urge all Old Cheltonians who have not yet done so, to include Cheltenham College in their wills, as many of us have already been delighted to do.
With best wishes.
General Sir Michael Rose KCB, CBE, DSO, QGM, DL
