Legendary pianist, Barry Douglas OBE, gives inaugural recital

Internationally renowned pianist, Barry Douglas OBE, will be performing a solo concert at Cheltenham College on our brand new Steinway concert grand piano. Barry Douglas shot to international stardom when he became the first non-Russian pianist to win the gold medal at the 1986 Tchaikovsky International Piano competition in Moscow, one of the world’s most prestigious international competitions. Since then he has pursued an incredibly busy international career as both soloist, chamber musician and conductor, and is currently the Artistic Director of Camerata Ireland and the Clandeboyd Festival.

International opera singer and television personality, Jonathan Veira, will perform his one-man show, an unforgettable evening of entertainment. Jonathan has appeared regularly at the Royal Opera House, the English National Opera and Glyndebourne Festival. As a concert artist, Jonathan Veira has performed in major venues including many engagements for the BBC Promenade Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall.
