For Third Form (Year 9) 2019 entry
For pupils registered for College at least eighteen months before entry, and who are not at Cheltenham College Prep School, there is an Entrance Day which is designed to give parents peace of mind that places are secured well in advance of any Common Entrance, College Entrance or Scholarship papers.
This year’s Entrance Day will be held on Tuesday 30 January 2018. It will involve a number of interactive group activities which will focus on leadership, problem-solving and teamwork – a far more helpful gauge of a pupil’s individual character, personality, and ability than standardised testing. The Headmaster and various other key staff will be closely involved throughout the day, enabling both them and the pupils to get to know each other. Not only will prospective pupils gain a real feel for College and what we have to offer them, but we will be better able to see their potential to do well here. Absolutely no advance preparation is needed and pupils do not sit any 'pre-test’ or written paper. College will also request a detailed reference from a pupil’s current school.
Immediately following the Entrance Day we will make Guaranteed Place offers, well ahead of entry, in a specified House and subject to passing 13+ Common Entrance or College Entrance Examinations.
For pupils who are already registered for a place at College, we will require a completed Entrance Day Form, Medical Consent Form and Pupil Profile Form (the latter to be completed by the pupil).
For pupils who are not registered for a place at College, we will require the Registration Form and Fee, in addition to the completed Entrance Day Form, Medical Consent Form and Pupil Profile Form (the latter to be completed by the pupil).
